CANTERBURY AMATEUR CLUB. tcur Athletic Club met last evening! E. Flower*' presiding. The secretary reported that arrangement* for the athletic meeting to be hel l by tho olub at Lancaster Park on Saturday, December 9, were well in haml, and everything was going smoothly. It was decided to enforce strict punctuality in getting all the events off to time, tho opinion being expressed that it was essential that the committee should keep faith with tho public in that respect. The programme, as submitted by a subcommittee appointed for the purpose, was approved, and the members of the sub-com-mittee were thanked for tho manner m which they had carried out their duties. Mr H. Tayhvr stated that he expected handicaps would he hack from the ST PATRICK'S SPORTS ASOCIATION.
