REDCLIFFS REGATTA.
While catering fully for the sportloving adults at the regatta and gala, to be held iit Reddiffs on Saturday next, the children have not been forgotten. An energetic committee has the entertainment of the juveniles in hand and their day should be full of enjoyment. A special programme of , sports for children of all ages has beejj* | arranged, and there will also be j gigantic Christmas tree. Shetland i ponies will be available for joy rides, ! and the launch Pacific will run excursions on the. estuary from a specialty built jetty. The life-boat race by the Sea Scouts in their three heats will have an interest for all Boy Scouts. The side-shows will be a big attraction as some novelties, imported from the j celebrated Coney Island f.Xew York) I Amusement Park, will be seen for the ! first time in New Zealand. Special pro- I vision has also been made for catering. and visitors to the gala will be able, to obtain plenty of refreshments of all kinds. Redclift's is renowned for its flowers, and there will be a stall for these, also one for produce, and for home-made cakes.
