PAPANTJI TRACK RACE. The Papanui Cycling Club held a two miles track race over their own course at Papanui to-day. There were fourteen starters, and the race resulted as follows: A. Leathern (scr) ...... 3E. Marra (40yds) ...... 2 J. Dyer (30yds) and R. Chamberlain (40yds). equal ...... P Won very easily. Time—smin 47eec. PAPARIJA ROAD RACE. The Paparua Athletic and Cycling f Clur> held a ten-mile cycle road race at Islington this afternoon. The weather was dull, hut there was a fair number of spectators. The race restilted as follows: E. Speirs (scr), riding time 28min 45sec . 3 Delacour (lmin), riding time 28min 47sec 2 H. Moffat (2min), riding time 29min 29sec 3 Speirs secured fastest time, and W. Mackie (scr) finished seventh, securing second fastest time, 28min 47sec. There were twenty-nine starters and forty-three entries.
