October 26. “ Pussyfoot ” Johnson.', when leaving Blenheim for Nelson on a recent visit, entered the Club Hotel before nine o’clock and purchased two cigars. A local paper featured the fact that Mr Johnson was not above entering licensed premises during prohibited
j hours. Mr Johnson,.in a letter to the j editor, admits the fact as stated, and ! demands if he violated the law that !be should be prosecuted or the j accusation contained in the newspaper be witlidraw n.
