“BOOST” CHRISTCHURCH.

—— Part of the Canterbury Progres League’s publicity campaign, with the idea of advertising the attractions of Christchurch, to register all hotels and places of accommodation in Christchurch.'and to this end the league haasked all hotel and hoarding-house proprietors to send in details of their accommodation So far the response to this appeal has been rather disappointing, and it is thought that the small response is due to the fact that most of the room to spare is already booked for Carnival Week. It should be understood thar the Progress League's scheme is not limited to Carnival Week, but that the league is to attract visitors dn.mvß. tho tuenths of November and December. Exceptional opportunities are offered to all accommodation houses by the league's arrangement, for on registration at the Goi'ernment Tourist Office and the payment of the nominal fee of 2s 6d these houses will obtain a widespread advertisement throughout the Dominion. It is the intention of the league’s Publicity Committee to distribute free of charge throughout New Zealand a list of places of in Christchurch and suburbs, and the proprietors of such houses and hotel? should avail themselves of the opportunity of sucli wick* advertisement.
