COMMISSION ON PENSIONS
NON-PUBLICATION OF REPORT [ (Per Press Association*.) WELLINGTON, October 26 i In reference to the attitude adopted ! by Mr Massey and the Minister of Defence. when questioned in the House as to publishing the report of the Commission on Pensions, the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association states that in view of the particular emphasis laid by it before the Commission upon the distress which men with major disabilities are suffering from, and its urgent request to the Commission to recommend means by which the Pensions Board might relieve such cases, the R.S.A. views with grave concern the non-publication of the report. Considerable delay occured in the appointment of the Commission, and apparently unjustifiable delay is occurring now. The N.Z.R.S.A. trusts ; that the report will be made public : immediately.
