ARBITRATION COURT AWARD.

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND. October 26. The Arbitration Court has filed an award in regard to the dispute between the Australasian Institute of Marine Engineers’ Industrial Union (Wellington district) and the owners of small coastal steamers. The wages per calendar month ahali

The scale does not prescribe the number of engineers to be carried on anv steamer. Extra rales are allowed for steamers with freezers, and whenever a vessel is engaged on any excursion on Sunday or a holiday. The a warn is not to apply to vessels plying within extended river limits, but shall be filed in such other districts besides Wellington as the Court may direct. The award is to come into force on November 1 and continue in operation till September 30 next.
