Meale. of New Zealand., though Purdy last year won the bantam-weight., meeting in the final Risfuccia, of Victoria. These two will contest the final of the feathers on Wednesday. J. Branconrt, the New South Wales representative in the heavy-weights, stands 6ft lOin and weighs 17st 3lb. His opponent, Muller, of Queensland, is a good stamp of heavy-weight, standing 6ft. and weighing about 13st. Williams, whom Hansen defeated, is regarded as being a particularly good man. which makes the Aucklander's victory all the more creditable. The defeat of Carpentier is agitating the whole of France. Siki ,in an interview, declared: “I never showed my best powers. I am going to meet Dempsey, either in France or America.
