FOR BLIND SOLDIERS.
COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS’ CONCERT. The Canterbury Travellers’ and Warehousemen’s Association is a bod? of which the community has a ju-«t right to be prouch and its efforts on behalf of patriotic funds during the war period (£600.000 was collected b> the United Association of the Dominion), the securing of Lancaster Park to the public, for which they collected the sum of £12,000. a large sum of money for the Children's Open Air Home, the recent raising for the needy of Auckland of clothing valued at £1.0.000 and ca-sh £2OO, are all fresh in the memory. It is not generally known that the traveller* inaugurated in 1917 a fund for the ion, for which money is urgently wantblind soldiers and sailors of the Domined. The Commercial Travellers’ anci Warehousemen’s Association Choi: Party will give a concert at the Choral Hall on Saturday, July 15. for this fund, when an excellent programme of music will be rendered. A number of blind 6oldiers will be present and will assist with items. This fund is iu no way connected with the appeal of Sir Arthur Pearson, which is purely for blind civilians. Tickets may be obtained from the secretary, Air E. A. Rolinson.
