CAPTAIN S. M. M’GEE, V.D., who is re firing from the Defence Department after thirty years’ service, to take up commercial pursuits, was a veteran Volunteer before he joined the permanent staff. He joined the Engineers in 1885. He is the only paid officer in the Department today holding the V.D., the Colonial Auxiliary Forces’ Officers’ decoration.
