Mrs Fenton, one of the victims of the Yarra tragedy, was noted for her beauty and was one of the original member of the “ Beautiful Eight Ballet ” that made its debut in the first production of “So Long, Letty.” She met Fenton two and a half years ago and fell in love with him. Her mother thought her daughter, then seventeen years of age, was too young to marry. Fenton followed her to Sydney where they were secretly married. Mrs Fenton left on tour for New Zealand a month later, but broke her contract and returned to Sydney. The marriage proved unhappy, ending in. the wife leaving her husband five months ago And taking her baby daughter, a month old-
A message received yesterday stated that the bodies cvf Allan Fenton, aged twenty-three, and his wife, aged nineteen, were found on the bank of the Yarra, each with a bullet wound in the head. Mention was also made of a man being found poisoned.
