CONCILIATION COUNCIL DISPUTE. (Per Press Association ) WELLINGTON, April 19. The dispute filed by the Union Steam Ship Company against the Chief Stewards’ Guild came before tho Conciliation Commissioner, Mr W. Newton, this morning. The company proposes »to reduce chief stewards' wages by £4 10s a month, whereas tho guild is seeking to increase the present rates by £3 10s per month.
