ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.
(Per ±*RJSSS ABSOCIATIOK.) AUCKLAND, November 4 Misty rain waa falling when the gates were opened at Ellerslie this morning, but about an hour later it cleared . All fast work was registered on No. 3 grass track, which was very fast. The bulk of the horses were restricted to steady pacing. Prince Carl and Doveiet sprinted five furlongs in lmin Hsec. Mountain Lion did 1 hree in 87 3-6seo, and Queen Abbey end Infante four in 51sec. Toa Tana did four furlongs in 50 l-saec. Tinohoro skipped over six furlongs In lmin 16sec, while Gold Kip boat Some Fashion over five in lmin 4seo. Kipling went sis furlongs in lmin 22sec. After breakfast Tnah went live furlongs, the last four taking 49sec. Explorer beat Boric over six furlongs in lmin 17se<*. The weather now promises to be fine.
