BROMLEY FANCY DRESS DANCE.

A fancy dress dance organised by the Bromley School Committee in aid of the Christmas prize fund was highly successful. The ladies’ prize for the most unique costume was a handsome cake, presented by Mr H. Moore, and some pretty lingerie, presented by Mrs Melhuish, won by Miss May Christian, j Spanish dancer, and Miss Booth, Gip- ! sey. The men’s first prize, a watch j- stand, presented by Mr AV. Turner, | was won by Mr A. Fennel, .gollywag, j the second prize, a safety razor, given i b~ Air H. King, going to Air J. Poole, cricketer. Other costumes were : - Airs Alelhuish, sunflower ; Afrs AToore, Irish Colleen ; Airs H Huggins, Bromley estate agent; Airs M’Neil. red poppy ; Airs Stothors, Port Christchurch ; Mrs J. Dewar, Fa Parisienne ; Alisses Robinson, poppy; Pierson, night; Kidd, folly; Churchill, jazz pierrette ; Jarden, buttercup ; Lawrence, Queen of Hearts ; P. Poole, pierrette ; Barclay, crimson rambler ; D. Patten, Kate Greenaway; R. Grenfell, Dutch Girl. Rrefreshments werd provided and Airs Booth very kindly acted ns pianist and Air Fennel ns AI.O. The committee hopes to hold a fancy dress social for the children early in December.
