TRADE WITH BAYS IN QUESTION. A question whether the Lyttelton Harbour Board would charge wharfage on vessels trading to the hew Kaiapoi harbour from Peninsula ba3's was asked by Mr F. Horrell at today’s meeting of the Harbour Board. Mr Horrell said that the new board would rely largely on revenue, and it hoped to get a good deal from trade with Peninsula Bays where the Lyttelton Board had provided wharves. If these wharves were used, would the board charge wharfage. “ Certainly,” said Mr H. B. Sorensen. The chairman (Mr J. Storry) said that notice should be given of the question, as he had not had time to consider it. “ Ther eis plenty of time,” said Mr Horrell. “ Are you asking as a member of this board or as a. representative of Kaiapoi P ” said Mr Sorensen.
