THE SPRINGSTON AFFAIR.
A FURTHER REMAND. James Scott Main appeared on remand in the Magistrate’s Court to-day, charged with having attempted to murder Bartholomew M’Evedy on September 14 at Springßtou by shooting him with a revolver. Chief Detective 31’Ilvoney applied for a week’s remand. 31 r M. ,T. Gresson, who appeared for accused, applied for bail as before. A remand until October 5 was granted. Bail was renewed.
