The Ranadi, which has returned from the Cardinia wreck, reports that there is no hope of salving the ship. Fifteen feet of water is in the hold. If the weather continues calm it may be possible to salve a portion of the cargo amd gear from inside the reef in punts. The captain and his wife and daughter and crew refuse to leave the ship. A previous message stated that the Oardinia, bound , from Levuka to Apia, missed stays and drifted on to the ManImalon reef at 9.30 o’clock last Thursday evening.
