CAPTURING THE REBELS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Press Association. DELHI, September 12. A thousand rebels are moving in the Palghat district. A punitive column arrested 200. The Ponani police captured two leaders. There is famine amongst Hindus in the Ernad district, and rice is being distributed. Extremists are making bitter accusations of Government brutality, saying that Moplahs are made to sit and are deliberately shot. Actually officials and police displayed the greatest forbearance, parleying with an immense Moplah throng. Only after Mr Bowiev, a magistrate, was beaten and stabbed to death was fire opened on the mob.
