ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

MOTOR-CAR MISHAP. (Per Press Association.) WAIMATE, September 5. Walter Smart, a. yfaung man, a bricklayer’s labourer, fractured his skull and received injuries to an eye as the result of a motor accident on Sunday. The driver, William Gardine, escaped with slight injuries. It is supposed that tho accident happened when the car was being driven at a good speed Sbnd was rounding a bend. The car was right side up, but facing in the opposite direction to which it was being driven when assistance arrived. Smart’s conditions is serious.
