Bain baa been falling since three o’clock in the morning, and the match has been abandoned. In Lancashire's second innings the bowling analysis was: —M’Donald, two wickets for 16 runs; Macartney, none for 9; Armstrong, none for 3. (Lancashire batted first and wore dismissed for 100, M'JOonalfl taking eight wickets, for 63 runs. Australia made 317 for five wickets and then closed their innings.
