SLY-GROG SELLING.
AN ASHBURTON CASE. (Special to the “Star.”') ASHBURTON, August o. TDdward Robert Hill was sentenced to-day by Mr C. K. Mosley, S.M., to two months’ hard labour for sly grogselling. The Magistrate said that a large quantity of liquor had been seized on Hill’s premises,, and the onus was on. him to prove Lhat he had not kept it for sale. He had not discharged that onus, his evidence being most unsatisfactory Leave to appeal was granted on condition that Hill found securiCy for £IOO within twenty-four hours.
