ACCIDENT TD MAIL COACH.
DRIVER- INJURED. < JPrsn Press Association.) TAIHAPE, August 5. On Thursday afternoon the TaihapeMangohane mail coach was washed down by a. strong current while crossing the Rangitikei River with the mails. Mr George Lord, livery stable and taxi proprietor, was thrown out and sustained a fracture of the collarbone. There were no passengers. The horses were got out, and the coach is being salvaged to-day. The mails were saved uninjured. A loan has been authorised for the erection of a. bridge at this crossing on the Taihape-Napier Road.
