APPEAL TO MR MASSEY.

QUESTION OF LOCATION DEFERRED. (Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND. July G. Auckland members of the Legislature met yesterday to press the claims of the province in regard to the School of Forestry. A resolution was passed urging that tho final decision by Cabinet should be deferred until the members of Parliament had had an opportunit 3’ of placing the claims of Auckland before tho Government. The meeting had in view the interview with Sir Francis Bill arranged by the Canterbury Progress League. It was announced that the Registrar of Auckland University had sent the following cable to Air Alassey : Canterbury is pressing for t]ic immediate location of Forestry School in Christchurch- We urge j T ou to . instruct deiaj* until you return, and set up a Commission to report on the location. All the members of Parliament in this province are anxious that the school should he established in Auckland. To this message Air Alassev's reply was : The question cf the location of the Forestry School has been postponed pending my return.
