■ “ UNloir STEAM SHIP COMPANY. „ The following information is in connection With the movements of the Union Steam Ship Co.’s cargo steamers in the transpacific service: Waiotahu, from Pacific Coast ports, via Auckland and Napiei, arrived at Lyttelton on Salurdav, Julv 2. She sailed on Monday, July 4’, for Wellington, New Plymouth, Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle. Wairuna, from Sydney, arrived at Vancouver on "Wednesday, June 22. She will load at Pacific Coast ports for Apia, "Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydnc-y, and is expected to clear Pacific Coast next week. Waikawa, from Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle, left Auckland on Friday, July 1. for Vancouver and San Francisco, via is expected to leave Sydney for Pacific Coast at the end of next week, and ■will take the August loading at Vancouver and San Francisco for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Kanna is due to-morrow from Wellington, and after discharging a quantity ©f northern cargo, will leave for Dunedin the same night. The ketch Deveron, which has been idle fox several months, has again been placed on the Peninsula Bev run. Mr C. Anderaon and Mr 11. G. Hatchwell, late mate of the Opua, are running the ketch. The Baden Powell sailed for Wellington evening. She should return hero on Friday. The Wakatu is expected to leave Wellington at 4 p.m. to-dav for Lyttelton, via Kaikoura. The Wootton sailed for Wellington yesterday morning. She is duo back on Friday, and is expected to sail again on the following day. ’ The Corinna arrived from Timaru yesterday morning and was dispatched for Nelson and New Plymouth last evening. The Tarawera arrived from Dunedin last evening to load for Auckland. She will bo lisDatched at 3 p.m to-morrow. Tlie coastal steamer Opawa is to lay up at Wellington. The Woodarra and Kaikoura were, both delayed at Gisborne yesterday on acoount of bad weather. Advice has been received by her agents to the effect that the Canadian Planter is to leave Melbourne within a few days for Auckland. "Wellington, and Lyttelton, to discharge cargo from St John and to load geneial cargo for Boston. New York, Philadelphia, and Montreal. The vessel is due at Auckland next Tuesday, and at Wellington a week later. The Eastern Crown should get away tomorrow for the south. COAL AND TIMBER SUPPLY. The Waipori will leave Lyttelton to-mor-row for Greymouth. where she will load timber for Sydney. The Kittawa will call at Wellington before coming on to Lyttelton with a load of coal. The Kini will sail to-day for Picton and Onehunga. The Kamona left Westport yesterday for Lyttelton, and is expected here this evenID fhe Canopus is due to-morrow morning frem Westport with a load of coal. She is timed to leave on the return trip on Saturdav. The Ngakua was docked this morning at Lyttelton for cleaning and painting. She will be refloated on Friday. Providing there is a suitable wind the schooner Riri will bo dispatched this afternoon for Auckland. She has a full load of produce aboard. Tno Breeze arrived from Wellington early this morning and will be dispatched for southern ports this evening.
