AUSTRALIAN CENSUS.
MALES EXCEED FEMALES. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copy ight. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Received June 17, 10.20 a.m.) * SYDNEY, June 17. The census figures disclose that the males in the Commonwealth number 2.751,781 and the females 2,667,921. The grand totals are exclusive of fullblooded natives, the returns for the territories not yet being available. The total increase in the population of the Commonwealth, exclusive of fullblooded natives, during the last ten ‘(•ears was 969.721, of which New South Wales claimed 449.659, Victoria 214,563. Queensland 149,760. South Australia 86,309, West Australia 47,114, and Tasmania 22,316. The increase equals 41.7 per cent.
