MURCHISON BANK ROBBERY.

POLICE INVESTIGATIONS.

IPeb Press Association.] NFLSON, February 23. Several police officers and detectives are investigating the Murchison Bank robbery so far without result. The teller, \Vilford Engall, says that he was bound and gagged at about two or throe o’clock on Tuesday morning. About seven o’clock, when he was able to free himself, he found that the bank had been robbed. Two men were engaged in tho affair, but cleared away after securing the teller’s keys and ransacking the safe, taking over £2OOO. There art* several rumours, but nothing has been definitely fixed upon. It is not yet clear how* the premises were forced open or entered. The occurrence caused quite a sensation at Murchison, as it took place when there wero many visitors in the township attending the Chautauqua concerts-
