WALTHAM CLUB. On Wednesday evening- the Waltham Club held a. 50 yards handicap race, the first of a aeries- of weekly events. The officials were : —Mr C. Kent; starter and h&udicapper; ana Mr O. Fineron, judge. The racing proved satisfactory, and shows appreciation of the donors of first and second prizes, Mr S. Vivian and Mr H. Cox respectively. The results were as follows:—First heat: H. O. Jarvis Usee) 1. W. Kerr (llaec) 2. Second heat: W. Hull (lieec) and K. P. Shier (llaec) equal 1, H. C. Kent (9see) 2. Final: 11. O Jarvis (Tsec) 1, W. Kerr (Used 2, F. P. Shier (llaec) 3. Next week the Mrs Sambury Memorial Kaes of 25 yards will bt held. KAIAPOI CLUB. The Kaiapoi Amateur Swimming Club held its fourth aeries c-f club races last evening.
