NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. PALMERSTON NORTH, January 29. The principal events at tho North Island croquet championship tournament reached an interesting stage to-day. The final of the open mixed doubles and semi-final and final of the handicap doublea will bo played to-morrow. In the former Mrs MurrayAynsley and A. Rosb play Mrs M’Rae and Dr Whittaker. In the open singles semifinal Mrn Murray-Aynsley plays A. Ito3s. and H. J. Williams plays Dr Whittaker.
