Detective-Sergeant Scott, of the Wellington Police Force, who has been in the service for about twenty-five years, has-sent in bis resignation. At the monthly meeting of the board of directors of the Young Men’s Chris-i t-ian Association Mr Andrew _ Borrows was unanimously elected president for the ensuing year. The yesoluticn for election was moved by the retiring president, Mr T. C. Field, and seconded by Mr A. F. Co re 3’. The incoming president was assured of a full measure of support both by the directors and members of the association.
