The State Department and Labour Department have finally agreed io the deportation, of Mr O’Callaghan, who will bo compelled to leave as soon as a steamer is available. Meantime Mr O’Callaghan i s testifying before the Commission of On© Hundred, which is receiving tales of alleged tortures inflicted upon women and children by the Black and Tans, also other atrocities. WASHINGTON, January 15. Ignoring tho State Department’s order for the deportation of Mr O’Callaghan, and despite the official announcement that an agreement liad been, reached. Air Wilson, secretary of Labour has ordered that O’Oallaghan be given tho status of a sailor, with permission to land and to reship. Mr Davis, Secretary of State, Ims announced fhat an immediate investigation will he made into the incident, which amounts to open war between the State and. Labour Departments.
