RACING COMMISSION.
[Per Prf.rb Association.! WELLINGTON, January 11. A meeting of the commission appointed lo make recommendations as to number and distribution of totalizator permits next racing season was held in Wellington to-day. Mr Fred Earle, K.O. presiding. Returns of different clubs regarding their applications for permits were presented by the secretary. It was resolved that in each of the four principal centres two or three speakers should be heard on the general question of issue of additional permits, and upon such occasions the proceedings of the commission would be open to the Press. The commission has agreed upon the itinerary oi Wellington and Hawke’s Bay districts, and will leave Wellington to-morrow morning for Feathers ton and Alasterton. To will return to this city on January 19, via Manawatu.
