The Bishop of AYaiapu, with Mrs and Miss Sedgwick, returned by the Papai*oa from their visit to England, where the bishop has been attending the Lambeth Conference. Nurse Kidd, a popular Palmerston North nurse, who has recently been acting as district nurse for that town, has been chosen by the Palmerston North Ambulance Society to undergo a course of training at the Christchurch and Dunedin Karitane Hospitals, preparatory to opening a branch of the Plnnket •Sociotv at Palmerston North. Nurse Kidd.'who is. a sister of Mr J. H. Kidd of this city, arrived from, the north last, week, and has taken up her duties at Cashmere.
