January 7 The United States Lawn Tennis Association has sent a letter to the various national lawn tennis bodies inviting Davis Cup challenges, and pointing out it is essential that 15, on valid extenuating eircumstances^exCHALLENGE FROM SPAIN. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received January S, 925 a.m.) NEW YORK. January 7. The United States Lawn Tennis Association has received a Davis Cup challenge Irom the Spanish Lawn Tennis Association. It appears probable that India and Japan will also challenge, thus making at leas* three countries which have not before entered the competition.
