INDUSTRIAL UNREST.
MR STOREY'S REMEDY, UNLOCK THE LAND. By Telegraph—Preis Aatoeistlon—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received September 18, 8.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, September 18. Mr Storey, tho Premier, addressing the Millions Club, disclaimed the extremist revolutionary methods of solving the industrial unrest. His way of dealing with those advocating that Australian workmen should follow the example of Italian workmen by seizing tho means of production, would bo to send thorn to Italy. If employers would undertake to take moro interest in the welfare of workerd he, as head of the Government, would obtain a reciprocal undertaking from the workers. Tho real remedy for the unrest was increased production, by forcing lockodup land into use. Large entailed estates were a curse to the country, and would have to be swept away. Tho owners of land must be forced to use it or disgorge it.
