BUTTER PRICES.

(Special to the “ Star.”) WELLINGTON, September 15. The Butter Prices Committee held its first meeting to-day and elected Mr J. A. Nash chairman. No decision has vet been made us to whether the evidence Khali be heard publicly, but it is understood that, the Prime Minister is not opposed to such a course. The committeo ivil commence its business sittings on Friday. The Government has not yet received definite information of the decision of the butter producers regarding export, but it is safe to say that the price will be equivalent to 2s 6d per lb f.o.b.
