DEATH OF MR ALBERT KAYE.

GABLE RECEIVED FROM SYDNEY. Air Albert Kaye, a well-known Christchurch business man, died in Sydney tins morning. Air Kaye was prominently associated with tho public* life of the community, and had served on many public bodies. Air Kaye was. intimately concerned with two local institutions, one being the Chamber of Commerce and the other the Lyttelton Harbour Board. He had tilled tho office of chairman of each of these bodies. He was also closely identified with the Beautifying Association and tho Christchurch T.AI.G.A. In his own ho was the principal of tho linn of Kaye and Carter, shipping, gram and seed merchants. Mr Kaye was a leading member and , r , of . fnox Presbyterian Church, and both ho and Mrs Kayo were earnest church workers, and identified with inany social and philanthropic organisa- ' tions. Mrs Kaye accompanied her husband to Australia. The cable stated that the funeral would take place to-morrow.
