0 p. WHAT SITS SHOULD BE JUSED? ' The choice of a site for the new training college to Ix 3 erected in Christchurch was considered by the Canterbury Education Board again to-day. Several sites that might be suitable bad boon inspected by members of the board, it was stated in a report of a combined meeting Sf the Normal School and Appointments Committees. The ro port continued that at tho meeting the committee favoured a Montreal Street site in preference to another at Shirley. Tho chairman (Mr li. H. Andrews) said he thought tho Training College should not bo compared with ordinary schools. The question had been gone into very carefully, and be believed that Mr Banks was the only ono who did not favour tho Montreal Street silo. Mr C. S. Thompson said that the matter should bo left over for a month. Ho said he wished for an opportunity to inspect tho si to, in order to be able to express a competent opinion. Tho chairman said that promptitude was very necessary. Mr W. A. Banks moved that the Shirley site bo chosen. It was decided not to hold tho matter over. The report was adopted on the casting veto of the chairman.
