TRINITY CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH.

* ■ Tho usual monthly meeting of tho above church was held oa Vednesday evening, Mr (1. 10. Franklin presiding. There was a moderate attendance. Mr C. IT.. Bryant (treasurer) presented the financial statement for tho month, which was approved; tho report of the Pence Fund diowed a small balance. Mr IT. Stingo was elected to represent Trinity Church on the district committee in place of Mr .T. Hayes, resigned. A number of applications for the uro of Trinity Hall were refused. Mr F. tVoodha.ro. honorary secretary of tho Pence Fund, who i» leaving Christchurch, has resigned, and Mr Hog tVoodham wan elected to fill tho vacancy. The secretary, Mr IV. Wilkinson, reported that tho Rev linlfadine would probably leave the Old Country for New Zealand this month. Mr Vv’. Congreve gave a report on tbs action taken in connection with the purchase cx the manse property in Holly Road, .and gave a further outline of the scheme to carry out a number of, urgent repairs to the church and church parlour. After a short discussion it was decided to adjourn the question till tho following week. Votes of condolence were passed to tho Rev I. Sorgenson and friends and relatives of the late Mrs Taylor, alra to relatives of the lata Mr Richardson, o£> tho Linwood Church The secretary reported ton the pulpit arrangements in connection with the tercentenary of the Bailing of the Mayflower, which will bo celebrated on Sunday next.
