THE PRINCE’S VISIT.
MOTOR-CYCLING CARNIVAL
A deputation from the motor-cycle section of the Pioneer Sports Club waited on the Mayor to-day and suggested that a motoring carnival should bo field at Canterbury Park during the visit of the Prince of Wales. They stated that tho Prince was a motoring enthusiast, and that the best motorcyclists in New Zealand would take part in the carnival. Ail profits would be given to the Entertainment Committee, to be used for a charitable purpose. The carnival, it was urged, would afford au, afternoon’s outing to the men on the Renown.
.Members of the deputation agreed to write to tho Mayor stating exactly tho terms, and the Mayor said that he would ask the Minister of Internal Affairs to include the item in the itinerary.
