Thq general opinion is that the Mexican situation is still capable of peaceful adjustment. Air Lansing is considering the text of the Mexican reply, which will bo considered by Cabinet on Friday. Air Lansing refused to comment on the situation. Senators who were interviewed are of the opinion that moans will be found by which a complete break with Alexico will averted. Some Senators and Congressmen blame the United States for lack of firmness in dealing vrith Mexico.
