-■' ■ m DISPUTE AT ARBITRATION COURT [Pkr Pekss Association.] WELLINGTON, December 1. The Wellington butchers' dispute waj heard by the Arbitration Court to-day. Tlie points in dispute concerned the hours of work, wages, and minor details, the bulk of the claims having been settled at the hearing before the Conciliation Council. The applicants claim a week hj work- not exceeding 47$ hours, with hours of work on live days of the week'from. 7 a.m. to 5 p.m./ with 1} hours each day for dinner, and the hours on Saturday to bo from 7 a.m to noon. The claim for wages is— First shopman, £4 15s; second shopman, £4. 10s; first small poovts man, £4 '. 15s; all other workers, £l, Also that! no female labour be allowed, and that j notification be Riven to the union by • the employer within forty-eight hours of the employment of nn" """ ••"• - * Where three or more men are employed in any shop-, it is cj;nii;..» ... man should be paid first shopman's wages.
