At the wool sales 11,151 bales iwcro catalogued, of which 3140 were New Zealand. To-day’s offerings constituted a fairly good selection, especially of average quality morinoos. There was a large attendance. There was spirited bidding by Yorkshire and Continental buyers for mcrinocs, average medium combing lots realising' prices on a par with the last closing rates. Faulty combing bellies and pieces advanced 5 per cent. Crosj-brods, medium, advanced 5 per cent. Fine cross-brcds were in keen request at full late rates. Scoured slipes generally were in the sellers’ favour. Lambs, merinoes, were in strong demand at unchanged prices. Cross-breds were at par to a 5 per cent advance. In the Bradford market there is a buoyant strong demand for fine qualities at higher rates. The lower quality shows a hardening tendency. NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN..
