A DANCE.
Last evening, at her residence itt. Avonside, Mrs H. H. Loughnan gave a dance m honour of Captain Philip Harpor. who has recently returned to Christchurch after a long absence on active service. ’The drawing-room, where dancing took place, was decorated with pink blossom and rhododen(lrons, and tho dining-room with antiriiimnms and daisies. During the evening songs were given by 'Miss Kathleen Lucas, Mr Ross Lascelles, JVIi W. b. Wauchop and Mr Guy Lucas. T he guests included Dr and Mrs Scott, Air and Mrs A. Murray, Air and Mrs Andreae, Alisses Jessie Hill, Maud Cargill, 0. btrachey, Molly Wain, Robinson, Eileen Lascelles, Dot. Cook.
