COURT-MARTIAL.
SENTENCE REMITTED. In connection with the court martial held yesterday at which Private Arthur Johnson was found guilty on a charge of deserting his Majesty’s service in that h© absented himself from medical examination at Timaru on July 12, 1917, the finding of the Court was confirmed by Colonel R. A. Ohaffey, Officer Comanding them District, but he remitted the sentence imposed and the prisoner was released. The case presented some unusual features.
