It was reported to the police on Saturday evening that a motor-car belonging to Mr Frank Sisson, of Papanui, which had been left in a right-of-way off High Street, had disappeared. Tho car, to which no damage had been done, was discovered by the police in Canal Road, Bromley, yesterday. Mr R. G. Two montiis ago she was walking with another lady' along the river bank at Opawa. She picked up.a piece of stick and threw it into the river, but to her dismay the bangle came off her wrist and joined the stick in its flight. A prolonged search was made at the time, but the bangle was given up as lost. Yesterday, with the same companion, the lady again visited Opawa, and with mingled furiosity and hope she went to the scene of her loss. Her forlorn hope was rewarded as plain to view, sticking up in the mud, was the bangle. It was retrieved. and the. owner went on her wav ; rejoicing. . * i
