TAILORESSES’ WAGES.
AN INCREASE IN AUCKLAND. [Feb Fbess Association.] AUCKLAND, September 23, Increased wages are to bo paid to the Auckland tailoresses. This decision was arrived at by the Master Tailors’ Union of Employers at a meetingheld yesterday. The Workers’, Union asked that the rates of pay for weekly hands be increased from £1 ,15s to £2 a week, and the log rate from 9d to lOd an hour. It was decided to grant the request and ■ the increases commence on Monday next.
