KAITANGATA MINE.
. FIRE WILL NOT AFFECT OUTPUT. I [Per Press Association.] | DUNEDIN, August 12. ■ The' management of the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company states that the fire which occurred in No. 2 mine at Kaitangata on Saturday was confined to a portion of the mine. The part affected consisted of old workings which were nearly exhausted, and this part has been sealed off permanently. Tire mine is working as usual to-day, and the output of coal will not be affectedThe men are being transferred to other sections of the mine.
