The steamer hit tho corner of the vrhnrf, and lifted-"bodily three heavy piles which wore bound together with iron hoops, out of tho nater. The impact wrecked the siriugers and the wharf decking in the. vicinity. The Pn+cona was romidernldy dnniaged. An iron plate on the stinboard side was ripped for about fifteen feet as if with a knife, and iron stauneliions were buckled or broken. The Patrena’s departure for Y ellington lias been delavcd until temporary repairs have, been matte.
