LINCOLN COLLEGE.

PROPOSED MEMORIAL HALL

A meeting of the Lincoln College Old Boys’ Association was hold at the A. and P. Association’s rooms this morning to consider what action should be taken in connection with the proposed memorial hall. The director, Mr it. E. Alexander, occupied the chair.

The chairman said that the money in hand and promised amounted to about £4OO, and the cost of the proposed hah would be something in the vicinity ni £2OOO. The Board 'of Governors would underbake to erect suitable tablets an memory of old hoys who had fallen at the war. Several people who were willmr- to subscribe to the memorial were at present holding back, ponding demote information regarding the form it would take, and he thought it would be advisable to have a rough plan or the hall drawn up by Mr Cecil Mood. Mr Knight undertook to see Mr Mood and ask him to visit the college and then draw up the plan. Mr G. L. Hart, the treasurer Of thfc fund, ,said that the amount actually promised was £l9O 10s, although sevcral of the donors had expressed their willingness to increase their subscriptlo,n r s - /he cash m hapd was £207 . . Mr Smith suggested circularising and if possible interviewing ner sonally those old boys who had not as yet contributed to the fund. He un dertook to interview as many as possible himself. 1 '*•
