Large crowds continue to visit the Grand and Liberty Theatres to see tne him adaptation of Bruce Bairnsfathor s cartoons, “The Better ’Ole.” .The quaint humour of the three soldier comrades, Bert, Alt' and Ola uill, appeals to the audience, who are made familiar with the lignter side of life at the front. Old Bill’s cheerful bearing is greatly appreciated, and his thrilling spy-hunt-ing adventures, in which he brings the traitor to justice and earns the gratitude of the French Government and the patriotic French girl, is woven into a story of absorbing interest. The billet and trench scenes and the picturing of the happy little gatherings in the French estaminet give the audience an in ight to the cheerful optimism of the men at the front. The picture will bo screened again at the Liberty and Grand Theatres this afternoon ana evening. The showing of the piece is accompanied by an excellent full-size orchestra in each theatre, and Mr Dobson Adams, in the character of “ (Md B;l',” sings “Up from Somerset” during the screening. The picture begins at 3.15 and 8.20 >\ m . at the Girand Theatre, and at 2.30 and 8 p.m. at Liberty theatre.
